Love is Love Book Reviews focuses primarily on adult M/M romance. I do occasionally review from other LGBT+ romance categories, including M/M/F. I rarely read YA or M/F romance and DO NOT accept review requests for them.
Readers who would like me to consider a specific book for review just need to email me the title and author at LoveisLoveBookReviews@gmail.com. Including the Goodreads link would be helpful but isn’t required.
General Information for Authors/Publishers/PR Folks
This is a one person blog and my to-be-read pile is always so high that I am in danger of being killed in an avalanche of books. I can not accept every request for review. If I’m interested in reviewing your book, I will email you to request a copy.
Self-published and indie published books are welcomed. However, review requests for self and indie published stories MUST include a short (500-1000 word) excerpt.
Diverse/intersectional and own-voices books are eagerly sought.
Pet peeves you should be aware of… Romances must have an HEA. I have no interest in HFN or bittersweet romance. Also, I don’t always have the luxury of reading an entire series, so all books must be able to be read as a stand-alone. Along the same lines, novels with a story arc that spans multiple books are fine, but cliffhangers and sequel-baiting are not welcome.
I strive for all Love is Love Book Reviews to be candid, respectful, and positive. Three to five-heart reviews will appear on the blog and be cross-posted to Goodreads and Amazon. One-heart reviews and most two-heart reviews will not be published, but I will email the author my feedback privately. Two-heart reviews may be published at my discretion on a case by case basis. If I just didn’t like the book, I’m not going to publish the review, but if I think the review would speak to larger issues, I might.
Scheduling & Timeliness
I try to publish reviews twice a week (usually Wednesday and Saturday) but other commitments sometimes get in the way of my reading/writing time.
If I have agreed to review an advance copy of your book, I will do my best to publish your review on or as close to your release date as possible, not before. The more lead time I have to read your book, the more likely I am to review it. Otherwise, reviews are generally published within 4 weeks of accepting/receiving your book and I will email you when your review is published.
I try and respond to every request, but I’m not perfect. If you haven’t heard from me within 2 weeks, assume I have chosen not to review your book.
Request for Review Specifics
Send all requests for review to firstname.lastname@example.org with Review Request – Book Title as the subject. Review requests should contain the following:

- Note if your book is diverse/intersectional and/or own-voices.
- Length (in Pages or Words)

DO NOT send your book with the request for review. If I am interested in reviewing your book I will email you and ask for a copy.
I prefer ebooks in MOBI format but will accept EPUBs for review.
